well before CSR became fashionable.
From its formation in 1928 until well into the 1980’s it was the largest manufacturer in Britain and a world leader in very diverse fields.
It developed the plastic Perspex, Dulux paints, Terylene and Crimplene fibres and fabrics, and leading pharmaceuticals such as Paludrine and Tamoxifen, all under this common purpose.
